Slap Dee Biography
Mwila Musonda known as Slap Dee born on the 27th of April. Slapdee first got in the game during his high school years. Battling school mates and winning recognition, he soon realized that he could make Hip-hop a viable carrier. His music career began to
get moving in 2006 after working on a song called “Asembe isebenza”. After a while it got identified by promoter Sync and got the needed buzz for a rising star. Released a debut album “Asembe isebenza” and gained SlapDee a decent radio hype and generated a buzz in the Hip-hop underground. Following the music studio album came “so che”, which catapulted the young rethymith to national stardom. Other hits came through including “Solola” and “Takwaba”.

In the year 2007 Slapdee embroiled in a bitter feud with crooner Mampi. Beef raged between the two musicians spoilt with legendary tracks from the makeni based MC like “Nizee” and “Sunshila”. Linked on a numerous projects with songbird Sutu, belting out duets “Kamba che” and “disposable”. Moving from strength to strength in 2009, Slapdee released another third studio project entitled Black na White. It became an overwhelming tune winning needed response from fans. Radio favourites from the album included “Goldigger”, “Fo shizy” and “Chishinka”. Slapdee strength lie in a unique ear for music, an intultive and understanding of the listening public’s taste. The rapper is filled with unique writting skills. An ability to compose a sung hook, a strong 16 bar rap verse or a melodic bridge and triple threat beats.

Mwila Musonda among the top 5 most recognized Zambian musicians, married to the baby mama of his child Nandi, Matakala Lubinda. Duo love birds have been living together. Slap D also had a relationship with Wendy Lubona daughter of a Lusaka based business mogul.
According to Zambianobserver Slap Dee had a marital affair with a NIPA student Precious Daka as well. Matakala and Slap D separated in November 2014 after which the XYZ rapper started dating Lubona Mulubwa.
Matakala was studying Law then at NIPA when dating Slap D. Matakala completed her education in Law and works in a certain Law firm in North mead (names withheld).

Slap Dee’s Accident
The rapper in 2018 survived a car accident along Chisamba area which almost claimed his life. After the accident, the rapper wrote a message below..

Slap Dee Named On CNN Best African Musicians
CNN Edition compiled a list of Africa’s biggest music stars with the Zambian hit maker appearing on 10th. HIP HOP sensation and founder for XYZ Entertainment, Slap Dee (Mwila Musonda) further said, getting named on CNN Africa’s Biggest Music Stars list was a huge blessing.
The list also has Burna Boy (Nigeria), Angelique Kidjo (Benin), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), Yemi Alade (Nigeria), Tiwa Savage (Nigeria), Wizkid (Nigeria), Mr Eazi (Nigeria), Sho Madjozi (South Africa) and Busiswa whom Slapdee once collaborated with.

Zambia through Slap Dee joined the rest of Africa in watching the rapper perform on the show aired in over 30 countries across the continent. Top Ghanaian music producer Killbeatz, taletnted producer in Ghana, produced the song by Slapdee and Busiswa.
Slapdee is known for several hit songs including No Wonder, Waumfwa and Kuichaila while his South African counterpart is best known for her hit records Lahla, Ngoku and DJ Zinle’s My name is.
